He was son of a fisher who had nice voice. He lived with his father in a hut next to a river. They had a boat which helped them move on river. Everyday, he and his father brought fishing nets, rowed along the river and dropped them into river to catch fish. He used to sing when he was working. Honestly, he liked to sing. His singing spread largely it not only came to people who lived along the river but also went to the sleeping princess who lived in the castle on bottom of the sea. The princess was attracted by the singing. She woke up and found it. Everyday, she changed into a fish, swam around the boat to hear the boy singing.
One day, she was caught in fishing net. The fisher had her when he pulled up the net. What he caught was a nice fish with red scales. He put the fish in water tank under boat floor and intended to give it to his son to feed but he forgot. Few days staying the tank without food, the princess was hungry and tired. Fortunately, the boy suddenly poured rice down the tank and the princess caught the chance having a feast. That’s the first time the boy saw a fish like that. He caught it, put into a jar that he could see it everyday. He took care of it very well as if it’s his friend.
One day, he picked fish out of water. Suddenly, the fish dropped in the river and vanished. The fish, the princess immediately swam away she wanted to come home after many days absent.
The boy fell in bad mood from the time the fish went. He used to stay on boat, looked to water surface and hoped the fish would come back but it didn’t. The fish, the princess still didn’t forget the boy she still wanted to hear he singing but she only could stay in her room because her parent wanted her to do that they scared she would one more time was in danger. The happy princess before, now turned sad and later, she got ill. Her parent did worry. They asked her and she honestly told them about the boy who she wanted to married. His father got angry when he had heard. He ordered soldiers to guard her whole daytime. His mother on other side was the person who appease his father. They both turned pained as they saw their daughter get more weakness each day. At last, they let her free but three years had passed.
The boy still worked as a fisher while his father had died. He still sang and his voice’s still nice. One day, while he was singing, a red fish suddenly jumped on his boat. He picked up the fish, pulled it to him and gave it a warm looking. Suddenly, the fish transformed into a beautiful girl that made him super surprised.
“Who are you?” he said.
“I am a princess living in sea”, she replied, “We did meet, remembered? The time I met you in the form of a fish. But now, I want to meet in the form of a human. I must say that I love your voice and wish to stay by you. Let me do that”.
The boy bowed his head. He had a wife from that time. They both had normal life but happy.
